Provincial Government Ministry – Establishment of a Business Model for a CRM Framework – Multiple-Ministry Initiative
Tramore Group was engaged to develop a CRM framework including an integrated cross Ministry business model to support a customer-centric approach for shared customers. As part of this approach, we assisted in developing a governance model related to Customer Management. Included was the definition of a strategic reporting structure (executive dashboard) to enable each of the Ministries to proactively manage these relationships.
Provincial Government Ministry – PMO assistance
Tramore Group was engaged by the Ministry to assist the leadership of its PMO to achieve the following operational objectives:
* Develop divisional project management standards and methods
* Create project management training programs and delivery mechanisms
* Create tools for project support such as project review structures
* Solidify the Internal Issues / Communication roles in the office
* Clarify roles and responsibilities of staff in the PMO
* Prepare a complete project inventory
Provincial Government Ministry – PM Capability and Process Improvement
Tramore Group assisted in the design and implementation of pragmatic program and project management processes, practices, templates and tools. We provided assistance in the effective use of these processes and tools to program and project managers and their teams. We made recommendations to ‘right-size’ the processes, practices and tools for projects of different budgets, duration and complexities We assisted in the development of ancillary project management services (e.g. project kick-off, lessons learned and project collaboration practices). We also assisted in the design of improved project governance frameworks.
Provincial Government Ministry – PMO Implementation
Tramore Group supported the project management office (PMO). We assisted in the development of a plan to support the strategic and tactical evolution of the PMO. We supported the project managers within the PMO to achieve their objectives.
Provincial Government Ministry – Program Establishment Support – Two Strategic Programs
Tramore Group was engaged to support two key programs within an IT organization. One program was targeted at improving the overall project management capabilities. The second was to improve the responsiveness to project sponsors. We facilitated a series of workshops and planning sessions to help the program teams define their plan and the multiple workstreams required to implement it.
Provincial Government Ministry – Post Implementation Review / Lessons Learned – Strategic Project
Tramore Group was engaged to determine the lessons learned from the first phase of a large project. We interviewed multiple stakeholders from both business and IT. Our final report set out our findings and recommendations for improvement in subsequent phases of the project.
Provincial Government Ministry – High-level PM Capabilities Assessment
Tramore Group was engaged to assist in improving project management effectiveness. We conducted a discovery engagement to provide high level observations of where and how project management culture and effectiveness could be improved. Our final report outlined specific strategies to improve overall project management effectiveness.
Provincial Government Ministry – Implementation of PM Practices Improvements
Tramore Group was engaged to assist in improving project management capabilities. The engagement resulted in three principal deliverables: (1) the establishment of a project closure process; (2) the performance of a postmortem review of a project that was deemed not to have delivered its desired outcomes and providing opportunities for improvement; and (3) the provision of recommendations on how best to group the internal projects into project portfolios.
Provincial Government Ministry – Post Implementation Quality Review – New Technology Project
Tramore Group was engaged to assist with a quality assurance review of this project. Based on the results of this review, we assisted in the development of a post-deployment transition plan and the development of an appropriate governance model which articulated the roles and responsibilities of each of the project’s stakeholders.
Provincial Government Ministry – Project Management Organizational Assessment
Tramore Group was engaged to conduct a diagnostic review to assist in understanding where and how project management capabilities could be improved. The scope of the diagnostic exercise was to assess the organizations project management maturity through structured interviews with senior project managers, project coordinators, project directors, and the director of the branch. This was a qualitative assessment in the terms of project management ‘art’ and ‘science’. A set of strategies for improving the project management effectiveness was provided as an outcome of the engagement.
Provincial Government Ministry – Legislative Enhancements
Tramore Group was engaged to provide project management expertise to manage the information technology changes associated with legislative enhancements. We assisted with managing the associated resources to ensure the project was delivered in accordance with the established schedule, budget and scope.
Provincial Government Ministry – Large Legislative Change Initiative
Tramore Group was engaged to provide program / project management expertise to assist with implementing the information technology changes associated with this initiative. We established a program governance framework, including roles and responsibilities, processes and tools for issues, risks, changes, dependencies, status, resource and financial reporting.
Provincial Government Ministry – Program implementation assistance
Tramore Group was engaged to assist with the implementation of the organization’s first program using program management administration techniques. We designed a program organization structure and assisted in its implementation.
Provincial Government Ministry – Stakeholder Consultation Support – Strategic Technology Program
Tramore Group was engaged to facilitate a series of consultation workshops with groups of stakeholders from the related industry sector in Ontario. The topic for discussion and feedback was the proposed architecture for a sector-wide technology solution. We facilitated discussions at seven different workshops, captured and analyzed the feedback, and developed a summary report of the findings.
Provincial Government Ministry – Strategy Workshop Facilitation
Tramore Group was engaged to assist in strategy development. We facilitated participant feedback from a series of focus group sessions on the blueprint and reference architecture being proposed. We synthesized the collective feedback from all the sessions into a final report for the program office. We planned, facilitated and documented the results of a key brainstorming session involving program and senior Ministry staff. We conducted stakeholder consultations that explored implications and set priorities for attention regarding the proposed strategy.
Provincial Government Ministry – Portal Services Procurement
Tramore Group provided procurement services relating to the development of a web portal, and for future portal development. We participated in the development of the procurement strategy, acted as lead author of the request for proposals (RFP) document, worked with legal advisors in the development of multiple agreements to be signed with successful vendors, designed and managed the proposal evaluation process, and supported contract negotiations with the primary vendor selected from the procurement.
Provincial Energy Agency – Management Controls and Operations Improvement Initiative
Tramore Group was engaged to provide guidance and assistance in the scoping and project planning exercise of a comprehensive management controls and operations improvement initiative encompassing more than 150 business processes of the agency. The engagement produced a framework design and approach tailored to the uniqueness of the client organization, as well as a detailed project plan for implementation – including change management and sustainability plans. Further, a broad organizational study was conducted which resulted in a comprehensive framework of governance and management controls suited to the organizational stage of this entity. This framework was pilot tested and refined to ensure the right fit with the organization was achieved.
Provincial Energy Agency – Business Process Improvements
Tramore Group was engaged by the agency to perform an exercise focused on identifying the key business processes that were required to support the priority programs that had been committed for implementation. This was undertaken in three steps:
* Identification of key priority programs;
* Identification and definition of the key processes that were required to support each of these priority programs; and
* Capturing of generic process steps as part of the exercise for later use as the framework for generic corporate process modeling
These processes went through the regimen to produce the required process diagrams and supporting documentation that were later successfully implemented by the client.
Provincial Government Ministry – Stakeholder Consultation Planning for Sector-wide Technology Solutions
Tramore Group was engaged to develop a consultation plan for the stakeholder community relating to two specific “adoption acceleration” solutions for a strategic project. We developed and documented a set of frameworks and approaches for consultations relating to these solutions and used them to consult with internal stakeholders on the external stakeholder consultation approaches. We then designed and led the execution of the broader stakeholder consultation strategy for these solutions involving a series of meetings with representatives from across the province.
Provincial Government Ministry – PM Capability and Process Improvement
The Ontario Public Sector introduced an initiative to increase the IT community’s capacity for effective delivery of IT projects. To meet the needs of this initiative, this Provincial Government Ministry engaged Tramore Group to develop and deploy pragmatic processes and practices for more effective portfolio, program and project management.
Provincial Government Ministry – Modernization Initiative

Provincial Government Agency – Five-Year Strategic Plan Development / Outcomes Alignment
Tramore Group was engaged to manage the development of a five-year strategic plan. Leading a core team of six resources, the strategic planning project involved a high degree of stakeholder consultation with relevant industry sectors, procurement and management of external market research services, and extensive involvement of the Executive Management Team and the Strategic Planning and Communications Committee of the Board. The project resulted in a sound strategic direction for the organization, endorsed and approved by the Agency’s Executive Management Team and the Board of Directors. Subsequently we were engaged to develop and implement a framework enabling the agency to align yearly plans and outcomes of annual initiatives to the achievement of the strategic plan’s objectives and goals over the following five years.
